Greek-Style Hotdog Topping

Add some Mediterranean flavour to your hotdog and it’ll feel like the sun is shining, whatever the weather! As a rough guide, the ingredients below should be enough for approximately four hotdogs.

Topping

About 2 tbsp Green or Black Olives, sliced
1 large, ripe Tomato, sliced thinly
Small Red Onion, peeled, halved and sliced thinly
Small bunch Fresh Basil or Marjoram, leaves only, roughly chopped
1 tub Houmous or Tzatziki

Method
Cook your hotdogs according to the pack instructions, and slice the rolls lengthwise (stop just short of cutting all the way through – you need the rolls to be a sort of ‘v’ shape, so the hotdogs can sit in them without falling out). Spread each roll fairly thinly with the houmous or tzatziki, and lay a few slices of tomato and onion along the insides. Sprinkle in some of the chopped basil or marjoram leaves, then use tongs to put the cooked hotdogs into the rolls. Finally, dollop or drizzle on a bit more houmous/tzatziki, and scatter with some sliced olives and a few more chopped herb leaves.
