Roasted chestnuts are a fantastic cold-weather treat. We're particularly happy to be stocking these chestnuts, as they have been grown and harvested in Woodbury, just minutes from Greendale Farm Shop.

Before cooking, score the shell of each chestnut with an 'X' to prevent bursting. Roast in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 15–20 minutes, or boil for about 10–15 minutes until tender. Let them cool slightly, then peel while still warm. Use in stuffing, soups, or desserts

Store fresh chestnuts in a breathable bag in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks. For longer storage, freeze peeled chestnuts in an airtight container. Keep dried chestnuts in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
