Quality, lean minced lamb, hand-ground by the Greendale Farm Shop butchers. Keep some in the freezer and you'll have the makings of any number of easy, nutritious meals, from meatballs and burgers to pasta sauce and stuffed peppers.

100% British Lamb

Lamb mince can be shaped easily into burgers and meatballs, such as Koftas; it also makes smashing Shepherd's Pie. To brown fresh mince, preheat a little olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan, then add the meat and cook over a high heat for 8 minutes or so (this cooking time is for one 440g pack), stirring regularly.

Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt, or freeze immediately. Suitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.

Greendale lamb is supplied by David Lockwood, who farms in nearby Aylesbeare. After enjoying the rich grazing pastures of East Devon, the lambs are carefully selected when they reach the correct weight; they are slaughtered at a local abattoir to keep stress to a minimum. Hung for a minimum of ten days, the meat becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Our master butchers then prepare it on_site at Greendale Farm Shop, skilfully turning it into plump chops, classic roasts, burgers, meatballs and much, much more.

Lamb mince can be very fatty – at Greendale we make our mince from leaner meat, including leg, shoulder and neck, which has all the flavour and less of the fat.
