We love Pigs in Blankets – so much so, we thought we’d make ours bigger! We’ve used our own Traditional Old English Pork Sausages, and wrapped them in rashers of our own Streaky Bacon for that perfect, crispy sizzle.

Greendale Pork Sausage and smoked streaky bacon.

British Pork, Rusk, (WHEAT flour (WHEAT Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Salt), Salt, Spices (Ginger, Mace, Nutmeg, Pepper), Potato starch, Stablisers (E450(i)), E450(iii)), Herbs (Sage, Thyme), Sunflower Oil, Dextrose, Flavour enhancers (E621, E635), Preservatives (E223), Antioxidants (E301).

To oven cook your Pigs in Blankets, preheat the oven to 200°C (Gas Mark 6), and place them on a baking tray. Cook in the hot oven for 20-25 minutes until the sausages are cooked through and the bacon is crisp – you’ll need to turn them from time to time.

Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt. Unsuitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.

We make these Pigs in Blankets by hand here at the Farm Shop, using our own sausages and slices of our finest streaky bacon – it’s a fiddly job, but we think you’ll agree the end result is worth it.

Streaky bacon has a slightly higher fat content than back bacon – this helps it to remain juicy while the Pigs in Blankets are cooking, and ensures the sausages stay moist, too.
