In-keeping with tradition, we’ve teamed up with the butchers, fishmongers, deli and bakery, and pulled together a list of some of your favourite products that featured in your baskets in 2024. If you're new to shopping at Greendale, it's a great place to start!
1. TRADITIONAL OLD ENGLISH PORK SAUSAGES
Made to a simple, classic recipe with East Devon pork, these Traditional Old English Pork Sausages are bursting with flavour. Super popular with our customers throughout 2024, these brilliant bangers went beyond seasonality, sizzling on barbecues in the summer and alongside a hearty portion of mash in the winter, we're sure they brought a smile to many hungry faces!

2. GREENDALE SCALLOPS
Super versatile and full of flavour, it's no wonder Greendale customers love our Scallops! Freshly caught by our own Scallop boats based in nearby Brixham - we take the pick of the catch, so we always have the best scallops on sale. These King Scallops are supplied ready-shucked from their shells for your convenience.

3. GREENDALE FREE RANGE EGGS
A firm favourite among our customers, Greendale Free Range Eggs make a deserved return to the top 10 bestsellers list! Enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even our favourite sweet treats, eggs are an essential ingredient – and it’s clear to see that once you go Greendale, there’s no going back! 4. BEEF SIRLOIN STEAK
It's no big surprise that our Food Drink Devon Gold award winning Sirloin Steak made the cut this year! Sourced from our own beef herd, Greendale sirloin steaks are hand-trimmed by our master butchers here at the Farm Shop. There’s no question that our customers value the quality of the prime, lean cuts of dry-aged beef, and the expertise our skilled butchers put into selecting, trimming and preparing each steak to ensure they deliver exceptional flavour and tenderness. 5. GREENDALE COOKED HONEY ROASTED HAM
Perfect in a sandwich or as part of a tasty charcuterie, our Honey Roast Ham is a hit with Greendale customers! Made with East Devon pork from the Greendale Butchers, this mouth-watering Honey-Roast Ham is hand-rolled and slow-cooked for five hours. After cooking, the joint is scored all over, and local honey is poured over it – it’s then left to rest for a further hour while the honey infuses its delicious flavour throughout the meat.
6. HAKE STEAKS (Approved by the Marine Stewardship Council - MSC)
Another returning product from last year's top 10, it's great to see our popular Hake Steaks remain favoured as ever! Caught fresh by our own boats and landed in nearby Newlyn, this versatile fish has a milder flavour than Cod, and is excellent grilled or pan fried. Check out our White Fish recipes for inspiration!
7. JACKET POTATOES
An unassuming staple among Greendale customers, the jacket potato is a humble hero when it comes to midweek meals, earning its place as a worthy member of this top 10 list. Some may regard a jacket potato as a mundane meal, but don't write it off yet! We've got some recipes to add a little luxury to your jackets, great to have in your back pocket for 2025!
8. GREENDALE CHELSEA BUNS
Freshly baked at the Greendale Bakery, it's great to see our Chelsea Buns were a hit with Greendale customers throughout 2024! A classic British treat, these Chelsea Buns are filled with sultanas and currants, with a delicious sticky glaze – perfect at tea (or any) time.
9. CLASSIC STEAK BURGERS
A favourite of discerning BBQ-ers, our thick, juicy steak burgers were such a hit during the summer months and throughout 2024, we're sure this feature isn't raising many eyebrows! Made from prime lean Greendale beef, and minced by our expert butchers, these succulent steak burgers make a fantastic meal whatever the weather!

10. GREEN'S OF GLASTONBURY TWANGER CHEDDAR
Great name aside, it's clear the Twanger Cheddar is the most popular product from Glastonbury, just making it onto the list at number 10. This rich, creamy and satisfying cheddar packs all the punch you would expect from a west country cheese, lovingly matured for up to 2 years. Perfectly paired with Greend'ale, if you haven't given it a try yet, it's a must for 2025!
