Ashcombe's Gratton’s Gold is a slightly sparking organic cider.

Named after Peter Gratton, who looked after the Ashcombe Cider orchard for 59 years after the Whites Family had stopped farming, Peter married Val from Park Lane SW1, and they farmed, milked cows, raised their children (and many point-to-point horses) for many happy years in Ashcombe.

One of the last of the “Gentlemen Farmers”, Peter passed away in 2013 a year after his retirement. This cider is made from hand-picked apples and nothing else - it's not over-processed so you might find little sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

100% Devon Apples. (Strictly over 18s. Please drink responsibly, for further information please visit drinkaware.co.uk).

Keep it in a cool, dark, and dry place - best served chilled.

Devon, UK

The award-winning organic cider is made from hand-picked apples in the estate orchards in Devon. The only ingredients are apples, we sweeten the ciders with our own apple juice not sugar. The slightly sparkling medium-dry Whites Original, Medium St Nectar and sweeter Gratton's Gold are available from the Ashcombe Ciderworks and selected retailers. We also offer the opportunity to learn about the process from Peter the 'Ashcombe Cidermeister' at the Ciderworks. Until the 1950's The White Family made great quantities of Ashcombe Cider at the Cider Barn. The orchards were then looked after by Peter Gratton for a further 59 years but were left unharvested for many years, until Ashcombe Cider was reborn in 2012. The only losers were the cows who liked to eat all the uncollected apples.
