Rich in iron and flavour, these tender lambs’ liver strips are hand-trimmed and sliced by our expert butchers, ready for you to use.

100% British Lamb

For classic liver and onions, melt a generous knob of butter in a heavy pan over a medium_high heat. Add some sliced onions, turn down the heat slightly and fry the onions until they turn translucent. Then, turn the heat back up a little, add the liver strips to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, turning them regularly. When they’re done, tip the pan contents straight on to your plate (toast optional) and dig in!

Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt, or freeze immediately. Suitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.

Greendale lamb is supplied by David Lockwood, who farms in nearby Aylesbeare. After enjoying the rich grazing pastures of East Devon, the lambs are carefully selected when they reach the correct weight; they are slaughtered at a local abattoir to keep stress to a minimum. Hung for a minimum of ten days, the meat becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Our master butchers then prepare it on_site at Greendale Farm Shop, skilfully turning it into plump chops, classic roasts, burgers, meatballs and much, much more.

We’ve trimmed and sliced the liver into handy strips that are ready to be popped in the pan. Watch the cooking time carefully, as they really won’t need long.
