Vol 500ml | ABV 4%

Made from apples and nothing else, Ashcombe has a long tradition of making cider.

The last professional cider makers were the White family from the late 19th century, up until the 1950’s. During World War 2, a soldier returned with White’s Ashcombe Cider,  ensuing a party that was so wild, that Ashcombe Cider was officially ‘banned’ in perpetuity by the British Army.

Ashcombe cider making was reborn in 2012, with the White’s orchards restored and new facilities created. This award-winning organic cider is from hand-picked apples in orchards established by the Whites.

(They don’t over-process their cider so there may be a little sediment in the bottom of the bottle).

Devon Apples (100%). (Strictly over 18s. Please drink responsibly, for further information please visit drinkaware.co.uk).

Keep it in a cool, dark, and dry place - best served chilled.

Devon, UK

The award-winning organic cider is made from hand-picked apples in the estate orchards in Devon. The only ingredients are apples, we sweeten the ciders with our own apple juice not sugar. The slightly sparkling medium-dry Whites Original, Medium St Nectar and sweeter Gratton's Gold are available from the Ashcombe Ciderworks and selected retailers. We also offer the opportunity to learn about the process from Peter the 'Ashcombe Cidermeister' at the Ciderworks. Until the 1950's The White Family made great quantities of Ashcombe Cider at the Cider Barn. The orchards were then looked after by Peter Gratton for a further 59 years but were left unharvested for many years, until Ashcombe Cider was reborn in 2012. The only losers were the cows who liked to eat all the uncollected apples.
