Powderkeg’s innovative range of real ales and lager has quickly garnered respect and recognition; ‘Cut Loose’, a pilsner, won ‘Best Independent Premium Craft Lager’ from the Society of Independent Brewers in 2020 and ‘Green Light’, a low alcohol ale, won Best UK Low ABV Pale Ale at the World Beer Awards 2019.
John Magill, founder and owner of the brewery, says, ‘At Powderkeg, we look forward and outward. We combine international beer styles with exciting new ingredients sourced from around the world, tweaking tradition to produce progressive beers for those who think about what they drink.’
