Chilli-Cheese Hotdog Topping

Cool cream cheese and a chilli kick will definitely spice up your hotdog habit! As a rough guide, the ingredients below should be enough for approximately four hotdogs.

Ingredients

Topping

1 tub soft, spreadable Cream Cheese
1 Red Chilli, trimmed and finely chopped (de-seed to reduce heat, if preferred)
Small Red Onion, peeled, halved and sliced thinly
Small bunch Fresh Coriander, leaves only, roughly chopped
Your favourite hot sauce, to taste

Method
Cook your hotdogs according to the pack instructions, and slice the rolls lengthwise (stop just short of cutting all the way through – you need the rolls to be a sort of ‘v’ shape, so the hotdogs can sit in them without falling out). Spread each roll generously with the cream cheese, and lay a few slices of onion along the insides. Sprinkle in some of the chopped coriander and chilli, then use tongs to put the cooked hotdogs into the rolls. Drizzle zigzags of your favourite hot sauce along the top of each hotdog, and finish by scattering over a little more chopped chilli and coriander.
