HATARI Maple Habanero Chilli Chicken Wings

The outrageously addictive chicken wings are coated in a delightful blend of sweet and earthy maple syrup and hot tangy habanero hot sauce. (You can easily double the recipe as you’ll almost certainly be back for more!) Prep: 10 mins Cook: 50 mins Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

1kg free range chicken wings
Rapeseed oil, for drizzling
50g butter
150g HATARI Hot Habanero Chilli Sauce
3x tbsp light brown sugar
2x tbsp maple syrup

Method
Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Toss the chicken wings in some oil and seasoning in a baking tray. Cook for 30 mins.Combine the butter, HATARI hot habanero chilli sauce, sugar and maple syrup in a saucepan with a good pinch of salt, and bubble until thick and glossy. Brush the mixture all over the chicken, then return to the oven for 20 mins – turning and painting halfway through cooking – until sticky. Serve immediately – delicious with a sour cream and chive dip.
