With the legs and wing tips removed, leaving an on-the-bone joint of tender white breast meat, this Chicken Crown makes an easily-carved centrepiece

Remove the Chicken Crown from the fridge and allow it to come to room temperature, then preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4. Place the Chicken in a roasting tin, then brush it with melted butter and season generously with pepper and salt. Put it in the oven and roast for 25 minutes, using its juices to baste it regularly as it cooks. At the end of the cooking time, check the Chicken is ready by inserting a clean skewer into it; if the juices run clear, it is properly cooked. Remove the cooked Chicken Roaster from the oven and let it rest in a warm place for 15 minutes before carving.

Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt, or freeze immediately. Suitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.
