Golden-fleshed Butternut Squash is full of fibre, plus vitamins A, C and E, manganese, magnesium and potassium. This versatile vegetable (although technically it’s a fruit) works beautifully in all manner of dishes, from risottos to muffins, and makes a great substitute for Pumpkin if needed.

Please note: As a natural product, sizes can vary from crop to crop, meaning some fruit or vegetables may be smaller or larger than others. However, they are always fresh and of great quality.

Butternut Squash can be peeled, cut into chunks, de-seeded and then boiled or roast in a hot oven (toss it in Olive Oil first, season with salt and pepper and add a few torn sage leaves); it can also be baked whole (simply wash beforehand and pierce the flesh with a knife before putting in the oven, as you would a jacket potato).

Butternut squash can be stored at room temperature, in the fridge, or in the freezer. To maximise its shelf life, store it in a cool, dark, dry place with good air circulation.
