Fowles Wines, one of Australia’s top cool-climate producers, is a small estate led by Matt Fowles in Victoria’s Strathbogie Ranges. With 360 acres of vineyards, including Upton Run and Billi’s, Fowles benefits from a cool climate and decomposed granite soils, producing well-balanced, structured wines. The vineyards experience diurnal temperatures, with warm days and cool nights that allow grapes to ripen naturally. The winery, located atop a hill with panoramic views, crafts wines innovatively, using over 1000 barrels, some of which are over 100 years old, to preserve the original character of the fruits.
