Also known as Royal Bream and Dorade Royale, the Gilt Head Bream has distinctive gold markings on its head. It’s highly prized for its sweet-tasting, flaky white flesh that works well in any number of recipes. Gilt Head Sea Bream are rare in the wild; ours come from trusted European suppliers and are farmed responsibly in the Mediterranean.

Gilt Head Bream suits a wide range of cooking styles, thanks to its firm, flaky white flesh and delicious flavour. These fillets can be pan-fried, roast or steamed, but keep an eye on timings as over-cooking will cause them to become unpleasantly dry.
