Evergreen Rosemary has a versatile flavour that works well in a wide range of recipes. A Mediterranean native, its wonderful aroma will conjure up sunnier climes when added to roast meat or trays of roast veg.

Rosemary can be used in soups, stews and casseroles, or roasted with root vegetables or meat to add flavour. It works well in stuffings and sauces, and – if used sparingly – will also enhance lighter desserts such as sorbets and fruit salads.

Store pre-packed rosemary in the refrigerator, keeping it in its original packaging or transferring it to an airtight container with a dry paper towel to absorb moisture. For longer storage, freeze whole sprigs in an airtight bag or chop and freeze in ice cube trays with olive oil.
