Crumbled Gingerbread or Cinnamon CookiesPerfect with sweeter seasonal cocktails, like eggnog; turn a clean, chilled glass upside down and dip the rim in simple sugar syrup, then dip again in a plate of finely crumbled gingerbread or cookies, before straining the mixed cocktail into the glass. |
Sugared CranberriesPerfect for adding tang and sparkle to a seasonal cocktail; to make, dip fresh cranberries in simple syrup, then roll in caster sugar to coat. Shake off any excess sugar, then chill in the fridge until set.

Candied Citrus SlicesAdd elegance to any glass. Make ahead by simmering thin, de-seeded slices of orange, lemon, lime or clementine in sugar syrup until translucent, then leave to dry completely (a low or recently switched off oven is helpful for this) and store in an airtight container until needed. |
