At Greendale we love local produce, but sometimes we look a little farther afield to find the best for our customers. always sourcing from trusted suppliers with standards as high as our own. This Loch Duart Salmon is a great case in point - better than any other salmon we've found, it's always a big hit with our customers. 

Loch Duart Salmon

Loch Duart's farmers have been nurturing extraordinary salmon for nearly 40 years. Loch Duart salmon bears a strong similarity in appearance and structure to wild salmon. Fish are slim and torpedo-shaped with fully developed fins and large powerful tails. Loch Duart is the loch beside their hatchery where their salmon grow from egg to smolt. Their salmon is unique to them. The stocks have come from their broodstock which has been developed since the 1970s.

Sliced Smoked Salmon

Based in Scourie in northern Scotland, Loch Duart Salmon Farm sends its wonderful salmon to the Greendale Farm Shop. Here the salmon is hand-sliced, cured and smoked over beech chippings the traditional way, the result is truly delicious.
