Often used with other veg to make a delicious base for soups and stews, Leeks will also shine in their own right: try slicing them finely, then gently pan-frying in butter until soft, sweet and beautifully caramelised. 

Wash before use.To ensure Leeks are clean before cooking, separate the leaves and rinse them under running water. Leeks will make delicious soup, from Vichyssoise to Leek and Potato, and can also be pan-fried, stir-fried or even steamed.

Leeks can be stored in the fridge or frozen.
