With their peppery, slightly sweet taste, Turnips are a popular ingredient in warming stews, broths and casseroles, and also make a great pickling vegetable. 

Please note: As a natural product, sizes can vary from crop to crop, meaning some fruit or vegetables may be smaller or larger than others. However, they are always fresh and of great quality.

Wash before use. Turnips can be boiled or steamed, and make a lovely mash with butter and black pepper; you can also try par-boiling prepared chunks of Turnip, then tossing them in Olive Oil and roasting at 200°C/Gas Mark 6 for about 40 minutes, until golden brown.

Trim the greens, rinse them lightly, and then store turnips in the fridge wrapped loosely in a damp paper towel.
