Perfect for a warming roast on a cold day, this Haunch of Venison comes from locally sourced deer and is expertly matured. Supplied boned and rolled, for easy carving.

100% Venison

Haunch of Venison can be roast, braised or pot-roast to equally delicious effect. To roast, brown the Haunch in hot oil, then place it in a hot oven, allowing about 10 minutes of cooking time per 500g in weight. Leave to rest in a warm place for about 10 minutes before carving.

Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt, or freeze immediately. Suitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.

In the game season, our local supplier (based in mid-Devon) keeps us well stocked with carefully hung and matured venison.

Venison is a lean, red meat that’s low in fat and full of flavour. Because it’s so lean it needs careful cooking; quick roasting is ideal.
