France

Sauvignon Blanc originated in the Bordeaux region of France, where it has been grown for centuries. Its name comes from the French words "sauvage" (wild) and "blanc" (white), referring to its early history as a wild grape variety. It is believed to be a cross between the Cabernet Franc and Sémillon grapes. Over time, Sauvignon Blanc spread to other wine regions around the world, such as New Zealand, California, and Chile, where it has become a popular and widely grown variety. (Please note - every effort is taken to ensure the vintage displayed is the vintage supplied, but due to constantly refreshed stock the vintage supplied may vary).
